Jockey Keith Yeung has lodged a notice of appeal against the decision made by the Racing Stewards on 4 June 2025 finding him guilty of a charge of careless riding when riding JOYFUL CHAMPION in Race 1 at the Happy Valley race meeting on 4 June 2025, and imposing a penalty of suspension from riding in races from 25 June 2025 to 28 June 2025 (both dates inclusive).  Jockey Yeung is appealing against the finding of guilt and the penalty.

The Stewards of the Jockey Club have granted a suspension of the penalty imposed on Jockey Yeung pending determination of his appeal.
